Match Preview: Who is the bigger dawg of IPL?

Let’s be honest here for a minute, no one is surprised to see these two teams again in the semis, they both combined have won 6 out of 11 IPL seasons. Now the final is more about just winning the final but to establish who is the big dawg.

MI has already defeated CSK three times this season and quite comfortably. Losing for the fourth time in the same season will be too much for CSK to digest and too big of an honor for Rohit Sharma to have. Hopefully for CSK that should not be the case this year. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at this point is just a distant cousin of Chidambaram Stadium, MI looks more comfortable playing at CSK’s home ground than CSK themselves. We honestly anticipate the match to be pretty similar.

WeKnowcricket’s Hot Take 🔥

CSK needs an overhaul and it is better to do it while Dhoni is still your captain

Yes CSK is in the final and Yes might as well win this season IPL, our point of view is more about the future than the past. CSk has proven to be a very very rigid season, they are unwilling to drop any player even after a series of below-par performances. Watson, Rayadu, Jhadav and even Raina(up to some extent) would have been dropped if they were not playing for Dhoni. Not investing in your youth is a good decision only in one scenario and that is if you want short term success. A year or two later, we struggle to see how CSK will proceed with the same team, at that time the average age will be above 35 years.

With the last match of this seasons, it’d be interesting to see who gets the upper hand tonight and gets the right to be called the most successful team in IPL. Let’s see which players you should have and which ones to avoid in your Dream 11 Teams.

RR vs KKR 2019 Dream11 Team & Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Go for Dhoni here, even if he doesn’t score he will have some run out or stumped.

Batsmen: Four batsmen today for a change, one from the opening order of each team and one from the middle order. Rohit Sharma will play a safe 30-40 run inning and S Yadav will be doing the same. Selecting CSK player is more dificult, as no one has actually performed yet. We have gone for Watson and Rayadu.

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya is the obvious pick, he has been excellent with the bat this season especially against spinners. Our second is pick is ever-present in our suggestions, Sir Jadeja, 15 wickets in 14 matches, good enough number to have a spot in our dream11 team.

Bowlers: Tahir will be in everyone’s team, only remove him from your dream11 team if you don’t want to earn money. Harbhajan is the second name, he has taken important wickets at important moments. Go for Bhumrah too, he mostly bowls in the last few hours and judging by CSK’s batting lineup, he might be able to take some wickets. The last pick is Malinga.

Captain & Vice Captain: De Cock, Rohit, Hardik, Tahir, Chahar- all are good bets.
