Match Preview: Must win for RR, should win for DC
Rajasthan Royals are in an extremely tricky situation now, not only they need to win this match to stay in the competition but they also need other games to go their way. They have bounced back really well especially considering they lost their best player in Jos butler to WC preparations. Losing Stokes did not make much of a difference in any department to be fair, Oshane Thompson has done a good job replacing Archer as a wicket-taker up until now. It will be interesting to see how far they can go from here, with major absentees they have turned to their 2nd string player and they have filed the gaps really well. Steve Smith has also returned to Australia now. Ajinkya Rahane will resume the captaincy now.
DC was sitting comfortably on the top but a heavy defeat to CSK has left them third in the table with a negative Net Run Rate and might prove to be a very costly defeat. At least Delhi can thank their Gods WC has not hit them as hard as other teams, Chris Morris was not included in the WC squad for SA, Kagiso Rabada decided to stay for longer but got injured anyway also, Trent Boult is not a bad replacement to have. The thing that concerns me the most about Delhi is Prthvvi Shaw’s for which honestly has been very poor ever since he scored 99 against KKR which led to a super interesting Super Over.
WeKnowcricket’s Hot Take 🔥
Playing an extra bowler in Trent Boult instead of below-par all-rounders like Keemo Paul and Sherfane Rutherford (Weknow he performed in one match, ONE MATCH!) would have done wonders for Delhi especially considering how they struggled in the bowling department initially.
Boult has taken 34 wickets in 30 IPL matches was the highest wicket-taker for Delhi last season. Keemo Paul, on the other hand, scored 10 runs in 5 matches but at least took 6 wickets though all of them were tail handers, the other replacement Rutherford scored 43 runs in 4 matches and took 1 wicket. These numbers will just give you an idea on how Delhi could have improved their team with a more balanced team instead of fielding an extra all-rounder who is not going to contribute in any department.

DC vs RR 2019 Dream11 Team & Suggestions:
Wicket-keeper: Samson and Pant are both very good choices, we personally we will go for Samson, he has been performing well in the recent matches. Last time we opted for Pant when these two sides met and it paid off so, we will just follow our guts this time and have him as our wicketkeepers for our Dream 11 team.
Batsmen: The first name on our dream 11 team will be Rahane, he scored a century the last time he played against DC and a pitch like Kotla is made for players Rahane that are gifted in stroke play. Shaw and Dhawan are both good players but Shaw’s reason performances were not convincing at all, just do not get surprised if Shaw performs well today. Iyer is our constant companion and is a constant suggestion, his ability to switch his style of play makes him DC’s most valuable player and our most valuable player. The last pick is Mr. Tripahthy, with Butler gone he will more and more playing time to show his class.
All-rounders: Parag has been doing well for Rajasthan and can also bowl good legspin. The other two obvious choices are Morris and Axar Patel. Not options here actually so these three players will be in every team we believe.
Bowlers: With Rabada gone, let’s go back to Boult who is a proven wicket-taker. Oshena Thomas or Unadkat, you will have to make a decision here since they both are very consistent players. Gopal is, of course, the last pick
Captain & Vice Captain: Rahane, Williamson, Parag, Gopal, Warner- all are good bets.

DC vs RR 2019 Dream11 Team Suggestion #2:
