Match Preview: Who is a bigger bottler at the biggest stage

This match is between two equals, two teams have never won the biggest prize in the game, two teams who have bottled again and again even after assembling the biggest superstars in the world. SA needs to get the choker tag out of their neck and England needs to remind everyone that they invented the sport.

England has not lost an official match since 2nd of March, since then, they have played 10 matches (8 ODIs and 2 T20Is). They did lose a warm-up match recently but then again who cares about warm-up matches except all of you, who are willing to play on any match available on dream11. South Africa is not too far, they have not lost since 3rd of March, playing 8 matches in the process. They have also performed well in the warm-up matches, which is not a surprise considering that their home pitch conditions are similar at this time of the year

WeKnowcricket’s Hot Take 🔥

Will it be bottling if SA underachieves again? We have heard this too many times in recent years, SA bottles at the biggest stage and looking at their squad it is hard to argue but we don’t think that is the case. SA loses to a better team and we call it bottling. Today they play against England, who in our opinion have a much much better squad. Looking at the format only 4 teams will go to the next round and we simply don’t think that they will.

Let’s see which players you should have and which ones to avoid in your Dream 11 Teams.

ENG vs SA 2019 Dream11 Team & Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Three wonderful options here, Buttler, De Cock, and Bairstow. All three will play, all three are top class but only one can be selected. Our suggestion is De Cock, he just completed his wonderful year with Mumbai, he is 5th in ODI rankings and more importantly, he is a better ODI player than the other two candidates

Batsmen: Four batsmen for today’s 11, two from each team. From England, we have Jason Roy and Joe Root. Jason, he has scored 286 runs in the 5 innings he played on this pitch and was the first name on our dream 11 teams. Root needs no introduction, he is the best England batsman along with Cook in the last decade. If you have read our previous articles, you will know, we value consistency and who is more consistent the Du Plessis, he also had a good season with CSK and looks in good touch all round. Our last pick is Mr. Miller, he has gone under the radar in recent years but from the South African team, he is the best option considering Amla’s record at this ground and Aiden has never played here before. You can add one extra England batsmen here

All-rounders: From South Africa Chris Morris and Phehlukwayo are two glaring options, we have gone for Phehlukwayo, even with limited opportunities, he has a much better record than Morris. England representatives are Moeen Ali and Ben Stokes, obvious choices we know.

Bowlers: Things get a little tricky here, a lot of options but no obvious picks apart from Rabada. Amongst Woakes, Wood, and Curran, we have gone for Curran. The only spinner in the lineup is Mr. Adil Rashid.

Captain & Vice Captain: De Cock, Rabada, and Faf are good choices

ENG vs SA 2019 Dream11 Team Suggestion #1:

De Cock, Root, Roy, Miller, Du Plessis, Ali, Stokes, Phehlukwayo, Rabada, Rashid, and Curran

Captain: du Plessis VC: Curran

ENG vs SA 2019 Dream11 Team Suggestion #2:

Buttler, Roy, Root, du Plessis, Stokes, Morris, Phehlukwayo, Curran, Woakes, Rabada, and Rashid
