Match Preview: Who needs it more?

KKR is sitting on 7th and has lost 6 on the bounce, this is like DD’s level of mediocrity and is uncharted territory for KKR, they are one of the most successful teams in IPL history. With a good crop of young Indian batsmen and a good start to the season, we were all very hopeful but they have dropped off really bad. Every game is a must win for them now, they took a strong decision of dropping Uthappa in favor of young blood. We are very interested to see what Shubhman Gill and Rinku Singh can do in the upcoming season, there are glimpses of talent but more consistency is required.

Now about MI, they are back to their usual best, competing for the trophy, sitting in the top half and putting on super entertaining matches. They have a good advantage for the latter stage of the tournament and that is having almost all of their squad available for the semis, they should not miss Malinga that much considering he has not played for most of the season, the same thing applies for most of their overseas player.

MI only needs to win one match to qualify for the knockout stage and KKR needs to win all of their remaining fixtures, it about who needs it more

WeKnowcricket’s Hot Take 🔥

We want you all to have a closer at Chris Lynn’s numbers this season, 264 runs at a strike rate of 125, this is something even Uthappa can do the next five years and is definitely something KKR expect from a player who has a career strike rate of 150. We think it is time now he stops being an anchor which he is definitely not or pave way for Shubhman Gill at top of the order.

With the race for the semis in full flow, it’d be interesting to see who gets the upper hand tonight and gets one step closer to that prestigious semi-final spot! Let’s see which players you should have and which ones to avoid in your Dream 11 Teams.

MI vs KKR 2019 Dream11 Team & Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: De Cock is the obvious choice today and should be played in your dream 11 teams.

Batsmen: Rohit Sharma has not been having a super successful season but he is doing a captain’s job, filling in the gaps whenever he is required. He is my main pick from MI. The second is pick is either Suryakumar Yadav, has played some good short inning and has been the difference maker in the close matches.

All-rounders: H Pandya, Narine, and Russell

Bowlers: Bumrah or Malinga, we say both. The last pick is Prasidh Krishna. I have not gone for any spinner today judging by the recent performances by spinners on this pitch.

Captain & Vice Captain: Russel, Narine, H Pandya, and Rohit Sharma, all are good options
