|🤔 What||SL VS NZ, 2nd T20, 2019|
|📅 When||3rd September, Tuesday|
|📍 Where||Pallekele Int’l Cricket Stadium, Pallekele|
Can SL level the series or will NZ seal it for good?
Sri Lanka did well in the first T20I to score a competitive 174 in the first innings. An in-form Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella led the charge. However, wickets being lost consistently ensured they couldn’t get more runs on the board.
The hosts had NZ reeling at 39/3 but the explosive pair of Taylor-de Grandhomme took the game away from them. SL will be itching to level the series now.
Strengths: An in-form batting order
Weaknesses: Over-reliance on Malinga
New Zealand are up and running in the series and they couldn’t be more pleased. The target of 175 looked improbable at one point of time before Ross Taylor and Colin de Grandhomme put on a show.
They are now 1-0 up in the series and will be looking to all but letting the Sri Lankans have a sniff.
Strengths: Ross Taylor and a reliable lower order
Weaknesses: Bowling department after the unavailability of Ferguson
We Know Cricket Hot Take 🔥
Both Sri Lanka and New Zealand are heading into the contest with their batsmen in striking form. Since the ground at Pallekele too is generally a high-scoring venue, it would be a good idea to stack your XI with more batsmen than bowlers.
Both teams also boast of good sets of all-rounders and if used wisely, they may turn out to be the difference between winning and losing.

SL vs NZ 2nd T20I: Dream 11 Team and Today Match Prediction and Suggestions 🧠
🧤 Wicket Keeper: All three wicket-keepers in this match are good picks. Al three bat quite high up the order. Picking ⅔ wicketkeepers or all 3 of them wouldn’t be a bad strategy. Niroshan Dickwella performed well in the last game as well.
🏏 Batsmen: Kusal Mendis has been a force to be reckoned with since he has started opening in the shortest format. He led the Sri Lankan charge in the first T20I with 79 (53). Avishka Fernando is an explosive batsman suited to T20 cricket. Colin Munro and Ross Taylor are the must-have picks for your Dream 11 team from the New Zealand side.
😎 All Rounders: Colin de Grandhomme was one of the pioneers of NZ’s victory in the first match. Isuru Udana has been doing well for Sri Lanka in the shorter formats and can be picked for your Dream 11 team as well.
🧶 Bowlers: Lasith Malinga is the highest wicket-taker in the history of T20I cricket and he should be the first pick in the bowling department. Akila Dhananjaya bowled well making the most of the turn in offer at the Pallekele in the first T20I. Tim Southee is the leader of the attack for NZ. Although Scott Kuggeleijn can be used as a punt pick for your Dream 11 GL.
