Sri Lanka play for pride as NZ aim for a clean sweep!

Sri Lanka have been run close in both T20Is but they have failed to cross the finish line on both occasions. With the series already beyond reach, the hosts will now play for pride. Edging New Zealand will be a difficult task for the home team with their best batsman in this series – Kusal Mendis – being ruled out of the contest.

Strengths: An in-form batting order

Weaknesses: Ability to contain with the ball

New Zealand will be charged up after having an unassailable 2-0 lead in the T20I series. The Blackcaps will be itching for a clean-sweep. However, the list of injuries to their side keeps on increasing. They have no replacements for those injuries and will have to make-do with serious shuffles in their batting order.

Strengths: Return of Ross Taylor and form of de Grandhomme

Weaknesses: Instability in the batting order

We Know Cricket Hot Take 🔥

Both Sri Lanka and New Zealand are heading into the contest with their batsmen in striking form. Since the ground at Pallekele too is generally a high-scoring venue, it would be a good idea to stack your XI with more batsmen than bowlers.

Both teams also boast of good sets of all-rounders and if used wisely, they may turn out to be the difference between winning and losing.

SL vs NZ 3rd T20I Dream 11 Free Team and Suggestions 🧠

🧤 Wicket Keeper: Niroshan Dickwella is in sublime form and is a must-have pick for this match. Kusal Perera missed out in the last game and will be rearing to make amends.

🏏 Batsmen: An in-form Ross Taylor comes back into the team after his match-winning exploits in the first T20I. Avishka Fernando is a hard-hitting batsman and can take the game away very quickly from the opposition. Colin Munro is always a threat in the shortest format and a good bet for your Dream 11 batting squad.

😎 All Rounders: Though he might not be bowling, Colin de Grandhomme is in fine form, steering his team to a series-clinching win in the 2nd T20I. Hasaranga has been troubling the NZ batsmen picking up cheap wickets. Isuru Udana is another player to watch out for and can be picked in your Dream 11 team.

🧶 Bowlers: Tim Southee is likely to come up the batting order with Guptill set to miss the final T20I. He is also the leading wicket-taker of the series so far and is an automatic pick. Lasith Malinga is SL’s strike bowler and one of the best T20 bowlers ever. Akila Dhananjaya has been impressive so far using the turn in Pallekele to his advantage. Kuggeleijn’s ability to pick wickets at the death make him a good option for your Dream 11 team as well.
