The Indian Premier League is one of the most exciting sporting leagues that has attracted a lot of attention since its introduction in 2008.

The IPL has witnessed so many thrilling contests since it was first introduced in 2008, with the world’s greatest players showcasing their class.

T20 cricket, including the IPL, has been a format that has always favoured the batsman, with some of the best batsmen producing some fascinating performances.

In IPL, we have been witnessing batsmen breaking all kinds of records, whether it is scoring the fastest century, the fastest half-century or whether it is hitting the highest number of sixes in a particular tournament.

However, not all records are that glorious. There have been moments when some of the best batters in the T20 format have played a slow inning, grabbing attention and even criticism for their approach.

Today, we are going to talk about these not-so-glorious innings of batsmen in the IPL who registered the slowest centuries in this tournament.

Some of the names in the list who have registered the slowest centuries in the history of IPL are quite surprising as they are the ones who are known for their attacking and fast-paced game.

The Australian smashed 9 fours and 6 sixes in this brilliant knock of 107 off 69 balls. The left-hander played some powerful cuts and charged the spinners with ease to hit some big sixes.

Although this particular inning can be considered a bit slow in T20 terms and when we compare it with the type of innings Warner plays.

Although Mumbai Indians lost the game, Tendulkar showcased why he is the greatest batsman irrespective of the format he plays.

The 49-year-old hit the century in 66 balls which is quite slow in a T20 format, but the veteran was a class apart with his footwork as always. He hit 12 boundaries and 3 sixes in this innings.

Although Tendulkar didn’t play the T20 cricket during this period, in this game, the legend played as if he was a T20 player.

4. Jos Buttler – 66 balls (Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians in 2022)

The 31-year-old played some delightful strokes on a batting wicket, but the Englishman’s approach was a bit more cautious than the one we normally see him.

The right-hander smashed 11 fours and 5 sixes. Rajasthan Royals made 193/8 in 20 overs and won by 23 runs. Buttler was playing in his 300the T20 game and played some brilliant cricketing shots.

Although he slowed down a bit in between, he continued to play his natural game.

The Englishman cut the ball powerfully and drove the ball wonderfully in the gaps. Buttler charged the spinners and waited for the bad balls.

Buttler is one of those players who is known for his unconventional batting in the T20 format. The right-hander batting was all about power hitting and fine timing.

5. Kevin Pietersen – 64 balls (Delhi Daredevils vs Deccan Chargers in 2012)

Former England middle-order batsman was always known for his aggressive batting and his ability to take on the bowlers right from the beginning, but in this particular inning, Pietersen waited for the bad balls and didn’t try to take risks.

The former England middle-order batsman timed the ball beautifully with his flicks and fine foot movement. The 42-year-old punched the ball powerfully with his front foot stroke play.

6. Virat Kohli – 63 balls (Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Gujarat Lions in 2016)

Virat Kohli has smashed all kinds of records since his arrival at competitive cricket, but this particular record was quite unusual for him.

Crdits: RCB

The 33-year-old is known for his aggressive batting and accelerating strokeplay.

The right-hander has this unique ability to find boundaries willfully. In this inning, Kohli hit 11 fours and 1 six.

7. KL Rahul – 63 balls (Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians in 2019)

Next up on our list of the slowest centuries in IPL history is none other than KL Rahul. The India opener produced a brilliant show for Kings XI Punjab show at the Wankhede stadium with 6 boundaries and 6 sixes.

Kings XI Punjab scored 197/6 in 20 overs. Although Mumbai Indians chased the target easily as Kieron Pollard’s 83 helped Mumbai Indians win the game by 3 wickets, Rahul played some wonderful backfoot cuts and brilliant cover drives.

The 29-year-old was equally brilliant with his front foot stroke play and waited for the ball to come onto the bat as the wicket was a bit slow.

Rahul’s biggest strength is his ability to find the gaps with his timing, and the right-hander was spot on with his shot selection.

Whether it was facing the fast bowlers or the spinners, Rahul showcased fine balance.

8. Ambati Rayudu – 62 balls (Chennai Super Kings vs Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018)

This would have been arguably one of the most accomplished T20 innings played by the former India under-19 captain.

The 36-year-old played some copybook shots combined with some attacking stroke play. Rayudu smashed 7 boundaries and 7 sixes in his innings.

The Tamil Nadu batsman showcased his effortless timing and crunched the ball magnificently on the up.

The right hander’s innings helped Chennai Super Kings chase the target of 180 quite easily with one over left.

Rayudu has this unique ability to change his batting style and adapt to the wickets, which is why he is quite unpredictable.

It’s quite unfortunate that the middle-order batsman didn’t get enough chances to represent the national team.

9. Ben Stokes – 61 balls (Rising Pune Supergiant vs Gujarat Lions in 2017)

The Englishman is known for his accelerating batting, and this game was no different.

Credits: indianexpress

The only thing was that his approach was slow the way he built his innings as the all-rounder’s scoring rate was slower as compared to the way he plays. Gujarat Lions were all out for 161 in 20 overs.

At one stage Rising Pune Supergiants were 42/4, but Stokes played like a true champion showcasing solid determination.

The left-hander attacked the Gujarat Lions bowlers hammering 7 boundaries and 6 sixes, and didn’t fall to the pressure created by the Gujarat Lions bowlers.

The 32-year-old played some cracking drives and cut the ball powerfully in the gaps.

Stokes pulled the short ball brilliantly and charged the spinners with confidence. Rising Pune Supergiants chased the total with one ball left.

10. Lendl Simmons – 61 balls (Mumbai Indians vs Kings XI Punjab in 2014)

The Trinidadian wasn’t in the race to be acquired by any franchise ahead of the 2014 IPL season, but an injury to Jalaj Saxena opened the doors of luck for the 37-year-old.

Credits: Gulf

The right-hander was bought by Mumbai Indians, and Simmons showed why he is a big threat in the T20 format. He hit 14 fours and 2 sixes to reach his hundred.

Although the century was comparatively slow to the Trinidadian’s standards, the right hander’s timing looked spot on, and he attacked the Kings XI Punjab bowlers with ease.

Kings XI Punjab scored 156/8 in 20 overs while Mumbai Indians won the game by 7 wickets with one over left, thanks to a wonderful century from Lendl Simmons.

Simmons played some delicious drives and cut the ball superbly with his powerful wristwork. Simmons guided the ball elegantly in the gaps and rotated the strike cleverly.

I will also like to convey that there may be a situation that you will obtain a loan and do not need a co-signer such as a National Student Support Loan. But when you are getting a borrowing arrangement through a regular financial institution then you need to be able to have a co-signer ready to make it easier for you. The lenders may base their own decision on the few aspects but the biggest will be your credit rating. There are some lenders that will as well look at your work history and make a decision based on that but in most cases it will hinge on your score.

  24. Thanks for discussing your ideas on this blog. As well, a misconception regarding the banking companies intentions whenever talking about foreclosed is that the traditional bank will not getreceive my payments. There is a fair bit of time that the bank will need payments in some places. If you are very deep inside the hole, they’re going to commonly require that you pay that payment 100 . However, i am not saying that they will not take any sort of payments at all. In the event you and the loan company can have the ability to work anything out, the particular foreclosure method may stop. However, when you continue to miss out on payments within the new approach, the foreclosures process can pick up exactly where it was left off.

I would like to comment that the expense of car insurance differs from one plan to another, given that there are so many different facets which give rise to the overall cost. One example is, the brand name of the motor vehicle will have a tremendous bearing on the fee. A reliable outdated family motor vehicle will have a more affordable premium compared to a flashy sports car.

One misconception in particular is the fact that the bank would like your house. The lender wants your hard earned dollars, not your property. They want the amount of money they lent you together with interest. Avoiding the bank will only draw a foreclosed summary. Thanks for your posting.

As being a society we tend to make this happen for many issues. This includes vacations, furniture, along with items we want. However, it is advisable to separate your own wants from the needs. While you are working to raise your credit score actually you need some trade-offs. For example you can shop online to economize or you can check out second hand retailers instead of costly department stores intended for clothing.
